Rep. Mark J. Bruns
94th General Assembly

Rep. Mark Bruns, a Republican, represents part of Cole County (District 113) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to the House in November 2002.

Rep. Bruns retired as a fire department captain in 2000, after 15 years with the Jefferson City fire department.

A member of St. Peter Church, Rep. Bruns also is a member of the following organizations: Capitol Region Medical Center Board of Governors; board member, St. Peter Foundation; member, Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce; member Knights of Columbus; member, Jefferson City Host Lions Club; member, Helias High School Athletic Boosters; mentor with the Jefferson City Public Schools.

In 1985, Rep. Bruns was named Outstanding Young Man of America and in 2004 was awarded the Friend of Agriculture Award from the Missouri Farm Bureau.

A 1979 graduate of Helias High School, Rep. Bruns attended Lincoln University.

Born March 14, 1961 in Jefferson City, Rep. Bruns resides in Wardsville with his wife Marybeth. They have four children: Wes, Kyle, Joey and Lisa.
