Rep. Belinda Harris
94th General Assembly
Rep. Belinda Harris, a Democrat, represents parts of Franklin, Jefferson and Washington counties (District 110) in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was elected to the House in November 2002; Rep. Harris and her husband are self-employed farmers. She also worked as a technical illustrator for McDonnell/Douglas in 1969.
In addition to her legislative duties, Rep. Harris is a member the Morse Mill Baptist Church; National Rifle Association; Washington County C-2000; Missouri Waste Control Coalition; the Missouri Cattlemen Association; the Missouri Farmer’s Union; the Democratic Party; and a Missouri Stream Team leader. Rep. Harris is also a former member of the Solid Waste Advisory Board; a former Cub Scout leader, Boy Scout assistant, Girl Scout leader and district organizer; a former children’s church teacher; a former Vacation Bible School director; and a former PTA vice president at Grandview School. In 1989 she helped establish a glass recycling system, which she continues to maintain.
Born April 29, 1951 and a 1969 graduate of Webster Groves High School, Rep. Harris lives in Ware, Mo. with her husband, Edward H. Harris. They have two children: Racheal Ann and Benjamin and three grandchildren.
