Rep. Robert F. Onder, Jr.
94th General Assembly
Rep. Onder, a Republican, represents District 13, the western part of St. Charles County and part of Warren County, in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to the House in November 2006.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Onder has worked as a small businessman since founding his medical practice, Allergy and Asthma Consultants in 1992.
Rep. Onder is an active member of St. Gianna Catholic Church. He is a member of the Lake St. Louis and Wentzville Chambers of Commerce, the Missouri State Medical Association, and the St. Charles-Lincoln County Medical Association. He is a past board member of Missouri Right to Life – Eastern Region and a life member of the National Rifle Association since age 17.
Rep. Onder has been active as a community leader for many years. He co-founded and served as an officer for Women in Charge, an organization dedicated to helping economically disadvantaged women move from welfare to the workplace. He hosted a radio series dedicated to life issues on WRYT/KHOJ entitled Renewing the Culture of Life. He is a former Young Physicians Section representative to the American Medical Association, and he recently served on a task force of the Missouri Bar Association.
Rep. Onder has received numerous awards for his service. Most recently he received the “Freshman Legislator of the Year” award from the Concerned Women for America, the Freshman of the Year for Life and Family Issues from the House Republican Caucus, and the Youth in Need award.
His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and triathlon training.
A 1980 graduate of St. Louis University High School in St. Louis, Missouri, Rep. Onder received his bachelor’s degree in economics and biology in 1983 and his medical degree in 1987 from Washington University. Bob did his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at Barnes and St. Louis Children’s Hospitals. He has been in private practice in St. Charles County since 1992. He also has a law degree from St. Louis University Law School and maintains an active law license.
Born January 6, 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri, Rep. Onder is a lifelong Missourian and currently lives with his wife Allison and their six children, Bobby, Elizabeth, Michael, Joseph, Christine, and Peter, in Lake St. Louis.
