Biography:
Rep. Eric Burlison, a Republican, represents part of Greene County (District 133) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Burlison was employed at CoxHealth as a Software Engineer and later as a Business Analyst. He currently works for Cerner.

He attends Destiny Church in Republic Missouri and is active in supporting campus ministries such as The Potter’s House and Campus Crusade for Christ. Rep. Burlison was actively involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks and was named the Big Brother of the Year in 2005. He currently serves on the board of D.R.E.A.M and the Harmony House for battered and abused women.

A 1995 graduate of Parkview High School, Rep. Burlison attended Missouri State University where he received a B.A. in Philosophy in 2000 and his MBA in 2002.

Rep. Eric Burlison has served in the Missouri House since 2009. During that time, Burlison has served as the Chairman of the House Committee on Professional Registration and Licensing and Vice-Chairman of the House Special Committee on Health Care. He is Chairman on the Missouri Sportsmen's Caucus.

In 2009, Rep. Eric Burlison received the Education Partner of the Year Award from the Home Builders Association.

In 2013, Rep. Eric Burlison was presented with the 2013 Committed Statesperson Award by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Burlison was honored for his work on legislation that would reauthorize certain benevolent tax credits, including a credit for residential renovations for disability access.

The Conservation Federation of Missouri recently honored Rep. Eric Burlison as the 2013 Conservation Legislator of the Year. Burlison received the award because of his commitment to promoting and preserving Missouri’s natural resources, as well as his advocacy for issues important to Missouri sportsmen.

Rep. Eric Burlison is an active member of the National Rifle Association, the Freedom of Road Riders, Missouri Right to Life, and the Missouri Chamber of Commerce.

Born October 2, 1976 in Springfield, Rep. Burlison currently resides there with his wife, Angela, and their daughters, Reese and Aubrey.
